Zoe Bradley
Bradley’s work for me stands out from the crowd with
her high impact fashion sculptors, it is remarkable how inventive she truly is.
Not everyone can make paper look so captivating and show stopping at the same
time. But I think she pulls it off. It’s the pure talent that she’s got that
people love. Even her placement of each section of her clothes is perfectly
done to hold in place and when looking at her work I find that it would have
been difficult for her to do. But that’s what’s also so amazing about her she
pushes though the boundaries and makes something her own.
She is well known for producing
some of her clothes and sculptors and also her windows installations. For me she combines theses well and makes an
astonishing fashion sculptor. She uses a variety of methods including
craftsmanship and unique tailoring. Looking though her work I have noticed
using paper is noticeably her best material, which has a element of fantasy and
elegance to each art piece she makes.
I think that she must be a brilliant artist to work along side one of
the most famous fashion designers of all time Alexander McQueen in 1997. When she
produces her work it involves cutting and folding and also stitching paper. A
quote from the women herself ’you need a sensitivity to the paper, a patience,
otherwise the creations are ruined and you have to start again!’. And her more
resent works she uses laser cutters to do her work.
