The respect and inspiration I get from this girl is so immense it's unreal. I love her ambition to succeeded, for me she never needs to change, being herself is enough. She is all about being an individual and being a strong woman icon. The woman is crazy don't get me wrong not literally but in a fun way. She is not afraid of taking risks and daring to be different. She is adored by most and no wonder she knows how to put on a show from her music videos to her concerts. One thing I know for sure is that she adores all her fans (little monsters) because I heard she uses all her money from her videos toget attractive and interesting visual props for her concerts to keep her fans happy aswell as her music videos, she never has money for herself and I have to give her credit for that. Gaga is all about the performance with her looks,props, meaningful lyrics and her fanominal vocals.

Now don't get me started on her style yes I know she doesn't make the clothes but she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to say ( but she is not a diva with it ). Individual is not the word for lady gaga I'd actually say she's one of a kind. I think her clothes are more like sculptural art than wearable pieces of clothes. Their so captivating and inviting I can't help but adore her visual look, she never looks the same she is always on the move with her fashion. Personally I see her as a fashion icon aswell as many others. This woman starts fashion treads and never follows. Yes she might get inspiration from others but she makes a look her own. 

It's not just her fashion that's inspiring it's the way she is and the messages she presents for example the song 'Born This Way' basically says it doesn't matter if your good/bad, human/monster or whatever you are born that way so embrace who you are because that's who you was men't to be. It's the whole yin and yang theory you can't have good without evil since the world wouldn't be balanced. And for her to think that way means she is a visionary and has open views.

Even though she is religious she still has open views.when she speaks of 'of the religion of the insecure I must be myself respect my youth'for me this says it doesn't matter what religan you are, you are always going to have a young soul. The full song is about learning to love and acsept yourself for who you are and that's a really powerful message she is trying to portray. Watching the full video of Mary the night I realise she is a fantastical actress she knows how to sell a scean( the part when she thinks she's going to die but can't acsept it so she keeps on saying she going to make it with tears in her eyes and emotion on her face).She is a jack of all treats they say.With her ability to sing,dance, act and be artistic all at the same time, you can tell she is academic.This quote from the song 'Mary the night' shows me she has an artistic mind set and see's thing thought an artistic view point, but I think it's almost poetic.'When I look back on my life it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened. It’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way, and truthfully the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it.'another thing I love is that she makes small stories for every song. All I can say is that she is very imaginative and futuristic. You can tell she adores her fashion when she quotes some designers in her song 'next season Calvin Klein' ,'And the shoes, custom Giuseppe Zanotti'. She has even got a song on her album art pop called fashion.

Lady gaga's make up even stands out from the crowd, she makes characters from the make up she places on her face. It's like she's a kid playing dress up but she knows this and gets a thrill off it witch is inpsiring we should all have this in us and show it occasionally. I mean just look at the song applause for example the colour explosion on her face is so expressive and powerful.in general she's really girly when it comes to all things fashion especially when she calls a song manicure. As a whole I think she is a musical genius, a fashion fanominone and a powerful woman figure.

Gaga is a American artist; who was born 28 March , 1986 in New York City. Stefani Joanne Germanotta is he actual name from birth but her stage name is lady gaga.  at 4 years old she begun playing the piano and unbelievably when she was 13 she wrote a piano ballad that why she must be so good in my opinion. The sang mic nights when she was 14. Then started a private Roman Catholic School. This makes me think this is were she got her religious views from. And the went to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Artist research ,Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion photos

This artist in my opinion is amazing I love their work with each style of clothing, every dress has it's own quarks. I adore his patterns( horizontal lines in tansparent and ohpake  materials ). He uses similar colours that compliment and blend brilliantly. Every peice is a statement but saying this they have a sence of elegance to them and beauty. I can tell this designer enjoys using patterns in his pieces since they are in the majority of his designs. I like the way he uses lines ( curved, thin,thick, fluent, curved light and dark) the lines make the peices come alive. If he put a colour in his work he always makes it strong so it contrast the dark colour. 

This certain dess reminds me of the 1920 with the fringe and shiny silk material.

Anne Sophie.

Anne studied at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design witch helped her to become the talented designer I see from her work.

I found out she has the right mindset and creativity that I love. It’s from the way she views everyday objects and makes a master piece out of what she finds. It doesn’t matter what it is she brings it to life and make it look appealing to the eye. She is a big fan of vibrant colors and exciting materials. I know this from these two quotes  “I have always created costume with nothing, sometimes with things I found in the street. I like to give second life to old objects and divert them from their original function.”

“I try to build clothes with materials, which are not fabric, crossing boundaries of the costume experiment. I think that any object from everyday life can become a fashion accessory. Anything can be stitched on to clothes.”

She really inspires me to take chances and be different but also try new things I think she is great at what she dose and will be successful in the future.

Zoe Bradley

Bradley’s work for me stands out from the crowd with her high impact fashion sculptors, it is remarkable how inventive she truly is. Not everyone can make paper look so captivating and show stopping at the same time. But I think she pulls it off. It’s the pure talent that she’s got that people love. Even her placement of each section of her clothes is perfectly done to hold in place and when looking at her work I find that it would have been difficult for her to do. But that’s what’s also so amazing about her she pushes though the boundaries and makes something her own.

She is well known for producing some of her clothes and sculptors and also her windows installations.  For me she combines theses well and makes an astonishing fashion sculptor. She uses a variety of methods including craftsmanship and unique tailoring. Looking though her work I have noticed using paper is noticeably her best material, which has a element of fantasy and elegance to each art piece she makes.

I think that she must be a brilliant artist to work along side one of the most famous fashion designers of all time Alexander McQueen in 1997. When she produces her work it involves cutting and folding and also stitching paper. A quote from the women herself ’you need a sensitivity to the paper, a patience, otherwise the creations are ruined and you have to start again!’. And her more resent works she uses laser cutters to do her work.

Robert Rauschenberg 1967–1978

He was originally known for being Milton Rauschenberg who lived in Texas in 1925. The first interest he had in art was by chance it just so happed that he visited a gallery and took a automatic appeal to the culture of art. However at this moment in time he served as a mental hospital nurse in the U.S navy for the last years of World War 2. Later on in his life he decided that Robert would be more suitable for his first name as a artist as it is more formal.

He studied in a variety of places in his life such as:

·      Black Mountain College in North Carolina.

·      The Art Students League in New York

·      Kansas City Art Institute

·      The Academie Julian in Paris,

·      Black Mountain this is where he found his influences.

He was one of the main artists who began to incorporate silk-screen printings on a canvas board. He is well known for doing the approach. In 1966 he created a group called EAT this stands for Experiments in Art and Technology this is a group of artists and engineers that work together in art. Abstract Expressionism was the previous movement to the EAT movement, he became involved with choreography, Pop Art and with theatre production.

 

The top and scarf I made

My evaluation.

I knew when I started this project I wanted to produce fashion items, since in my previous projects my dresses were a great success. this is why I think I made a wise choice to make a scarf and a top. Using what I learned and the methods  (weaving, hand sewing and using a sewing machine)I needed to know from last year helped me to improve my stills and presentation.
The choices I made concerning the production of my top and scarf were intentional, since in a way its development from each stage of my book. l wanted to show that my research( of flowers by Georigia O'keeffe) and photographs( took by myself) were useful when making my top and scarf. This is because of the fabric I decided to use for my top contains pastel pink, deep red flowers and light green leaves on it. That is why I used this material for my top. it also has some inspiration from a artist who work with face paint( Emma Lundgren ). Then I thought with my scarf the main features would be each individual colour since they are similar to the purity of the elegant flower colours.

one of the key features on the vest I made is the image of the face. I got this from my photographs of me with flowered shaped hair and face make up.I draw a image of this photograph and made a textiles version of it. basically I stuck a photocopied version of the piece onto the material and used the sewing machine to trace out the outline. After that I got some different coloured ink (pink and purple) and coloured the picture in. then with the key details I used pink thread and hand stitched it to the face. i couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of the final product it has a fun yet presentable i feel it would wear well and be long lasting. My scarf i made was completely done on the loom and had a sequence to it and made a pattern that goes all the way down.

Step by step on how i produced it. 

first I measured the correct measurements around my waist, hips, and bust then converted them onto a fashion clothing manikin.

secondly I cut out the correct amount of fabric to use. this then lead me onto the placement of the fabric. when I found what worked best for me ( a thick strapped vest top ) I pinned it in place and started to cut the spare parts away.

so this lead me onto sewing the parts together and making sure it is wearable and well structured. Finally i put the face i created on the top and made mini features to give it style like to the rims.
